Site Preparation
Our team will remove your existing lawn down to bare soil and ensure the yard's surface maintains a slight grade away from the building structure. If necessary, we'll add an additional layer of top soil that will be conditioned and compacted prior to sodding.
Sod Installation
All our sod is freshly farmed, cut within 24 hours of install. We carry Kentucky bluegrass for full sun yards and fescue blends for shaded lawns. Not sure which one your yard needs? We'll gladly help you figure that out. We can install fresh mulch too!
Establishment
What we believe sets our team apart from other landscaping companies is that we take great care in helping roots establish, including free weekly watering for a full month after install. We're the only team to offer a root guarantee. If any sod doesn't take, we replace it on our dime.

(Our story) We are the local Twin Cities sod team that knows the ground
Alejandro began mowing lawns during his freshman year of college to help cover expenses. He pulled together a few friends and started knocking on doors, offering to help with yard work around the neighborhood.
The work kept coming and the crew grew with it. What started as a group of college kids picking up weekend jobs eventually turned into something worth making official, and that's when Alejandro founded Greener Grass. Today the team is 8 members strong, running full sod installations across the St. Paul metro.
Most of the crew has been working together since close to the beginning. Everyone knows how each other operates, and that chemistry shows up on every job site. It's a tight group that genuinely enjoys the work and takes pride in how every yard turns out.
